This website provides information for current/future Computer Science Master students with strong interest in all areas of information security.
About/Duration/Enrolment
The Information Security Master Track is one of the specialization tracks of the Computer Science Master program at ETH Zurich. The duration of this Master program is 3 semesters, i.e., one year of courses and half a year for the master thesis. The program offers 15+ security-related courses covering a number of topics including cryptography, formal methods, system security, wireless and wired network security, e-privacy, fault tolerance ... Upon the successful completion of this program, the student receives a Master of Science ETH in Computer Science with a focus in Information Security.

Information Security Master Track is a broad-spectrum security program that provides in-depth knowledge of relevant security issues in computer systems, networks and their applications. The program offers 15+ security-related courses covering a number of topics including cryptography, formal methods, system security, wireless and wired network security, e-privacy, fault tolerance ... The courses are taught by world-class researchers and professionals from academia (Computer Science (D-INFK), and Electrical Engineering and Information Technology Departments of ETHZ (D-ITET)) and industry (Credit-Suisse, Google, IBM).
Our program also benefits from close collaboration with the Zurich Information Security Center (ZISC ), a research center in Information Security, created by ETH Zurich and industrial partners (ArmaSuisse, Credit-Suisse, IBM). ZISC also regularly hosts a number of invited lectures by top researchers in the ZISC Information Security Colloquium.
